Copywriting is the one marketing discipline that never goes out of style.
Regardless of what you’re writing (from ads and blog posts, to catchy slogans), you’re going to need copywriting.
However, writing good copy isn’t just art - it’s science.
In order to sell your product, you have to explain it clearly to your audience.
But the trick is not in telling them how to use your product.
It’s in convincing them to take the leap.
And this is where copywriting courses come into play.
Today, I’m going to take a look at one of the most popular copywriting websites today.
In this Copyhackers review, you’ll find out everything you need to know about their services and courses.
Let’s dive in!
Founded by Joanna Wiebe in 2011, Copyhackers is your one-stop shop for all things copywriting:
Unlike other copywriting educators, Copyhackers focuses 100% on sales.
It helps entrepreneurs and companies craft the perfect copy that convinces and converts.
At the same time, Copyhackers courses cover a wide variety of subjects, from writing sales pages, to adapting your copy to Facebook ads.
There are a lot of sales tricks that only professional copywriters know and understand.
For example, did you know that making small alterations to your copy like changing your call-to-action from “Buy now” to “Add to bag” can lead to a 17% increase in sales?
This was the case for one website.
And by understanding copywriting, you can learn how to analyze your own copy through the lens of your customer behavior, and make sure you get those sales.
Similarly, explaining why someone should sign up to your mailing list or buy your products has been known to increase agreement to 94%.
Literally all it took was adding the word “because.”
Pretty cool, huh?
So while your products are the alpha and the omega, at the end of the day, you need to eloquently explain why your customers should care.
Copywriting and Copyhackers help you do just that!
Let’s find out what their secret is!
Copyhackers’ Copy School is by far one of the hottest and most comprehensive copywriting courses on the market.
Trusted by the likes of Shopify, ConvertKit, and MailChimp, Copyhackers sum up all the most important lessons into one neat course.
Copyhackers explain that their Copy School course is both for entrepreneurs and business owners, as well as freelance copywriters who are trying to make it big.
In general, I recommend Copy School if you plan on running your business for a very long time, and you can’t wait to start earning enough to pay yourself a well-deserved vacation.
Normally, copywriting courses are so complex that it’s hard to understand them if you don’t have a writing background.
But Copy School keeps its focus on sales, which is pretty handy for you.
The team behind the course also shows an understanding of sales funnels and different audiences.
And the best part is: they don’t treat copywriting as something mystical.
There are proven ways to master copywriting, and measure how your copy affects your sales.
And if you can see it, you can improve it.
After signing up for Copy School, you’ll get:
All in all, it’s meant to give you a broad knowledge of copywriting across different fields.
You could get some of the courses separately, but this way, it’s a comprehensive education.
(And it’s cheaper.)
Some of the courses included in Copy School are:
Each course comes with specific training videos and resources, so you can really double-down on all the important aspects of copywriting.
Additionally, you’ll get lifetime access to all Copyhackers programs, even the ones added in the future.
Copy School for one person is $2997.
You can separate that into 12 monthly payments of $297, but you’ll be spending an extra 500 bucks.
If you want your whole team to take the training, then you can get it for 12 monthly payments of $697.
Look, you know I’m critical of direct response copywriting - when done badly.
But when you do it right, it’s going to make you serious money.
And from what I can tell, the folks at Copyhackers know what they’re doing.
My favorite part is that they have frameworks and templates that are proven to work.
There’s no guessing; there’s just cold, hard cash.
At the same time, I know that $2997 is a lot.
But if you need in-depth copywriting knowledge and your sales funnels include sales pages, emails, and other types of copy, you’re going to need multiple courses, many of which sell for $997 and $1997 separately.
Copy School is just cheaper and more effective, so it has my vote of confidence!
If you know which specific areas of copywriting you need help with, then you can check out Copyhackers’ individual courses:
Since email is definitely one of the most profitable parts of your sales funnel, this is a great copywriting course.
Again, you’ll get repeatable copywriting processes.
No ju-ju; just actual frameworks that work.
Copyhackers’ 10x Emails course consists of:
You’ll also get an additional training course: Six Figure Emails, with even more tips.
10x Emails (with Six Figure Emails) is $997, or 12 x $97.
All in all, I think it’s a good value, but you might be better off paying for Copy School to get the course bundle for less.
Copyhackers’ 10x Landing Pages is perfect for convincing your leads during their first visit.
Copyhackers 10x Landing Pages course contains:
You can get 10x Landing Pages for $997, or pay in 4 installments of $297.
I personally love this course. It offers plenty of advanced techniques based on psychology that are really going to help you convert more.
Forget about courses telling you what you should do - this course tells you how to do it.
Copyhackers’ 10x Funnels course is a great course if you want to optimize your conversion rate.
(Let’s be honest, who doesn’t?)
If you’ve read this blog before, then you know how often I discuss funnels. They’re the best systematic approach to converting visitors to leads to customers.
And with the right sales funnel builders, you can completely automate it and convert people on autopilot.
However, you also need good copy. That’s where Copyhackers come in!
10x Funnels course consists of:
Personally, I find this to be the least comprehensive course of all Copyhackers courses.
If you already know what funnels are, you’re better off taking courses for specific parts of your funnel (e.g. emails, sales pages), or enrolling in Copy School.
Otherwise, you’ll pay for 10x Funnels $997, and it just doesn’t offer enough value for that.
10x Facebook Ads is the perfect course for the attraction stage of your funnel; drawing new visitors and leads to your site.
The course is taught by Wahida Lakhani, one of the biggest Facebook ad experts who has worked with brands like L’Oreal and Coca Cola.
She definitely knows what she’s talking about!
10x Facebook Ads includes:
All in all, 10x Facebook Ads is good value for money.
You’ll pay $297, which makes this one of the most affordable FB ads courses on the market.
Once you’ve hooked your leads, it’s time to convince them your product is the best fit for their needs.
With sales pages!
Copyhackers’ 10x Sales Pages course offers everything you need to write a darn good sales page:
All in all, this is a well-rounded course.
If you need a quick pick-me-up for your sales funnel copy, it’s definitely the one to start with. It’ll teach you all the basics that you can later apply to landing pages and emails, as well.
Copyhackers 10x Sales Pages is priced at $1997, although you can pay in installments, as well.
In addition to paid courses, Copyhackers also offers plenty of free tutorials that can help you get started with copywriting.
If you find their content to be valuable, you can easily sign up for one of the courses.
Every Tuesday, the folks at Copyhackers have Tutorial Tuesdays.
They cover different topics every week, including:
One of the tutorials I like the most is “How do you turn great home page copy into killer home page copy? (Case Study)”
The founder, Joanna Wiebe, looks at different companies’ home pages and welcome pages to see which ones are doing it right.
In this tutorial, she explains her PAS method:
She then reworks some of the bad examples to make the welcome pages more convincing.
The second tutorial that has a special place in my sales toolkit is “The Ultimate Guide to No-Pain Copywriting (or, Every Copywriting Formula Ever),” again by Wiebe.
By now, you’ve probably noticed that all Copyhackers materials come with plenty of examples to learn from.
This guide also offers a lot of copywriting formula examples:
It’s really an in-depth guide that’s going to teach you the basics, even if you’re not in a position to invest in Copy School or paid courses.
Cold emails, huh?
Raise your hand if you’re scared of them.
Want to know a secret?
I was, too.
And then I realized that there was a way to increase the chances of positive responses with this free Copyhackers cold email guide: “I used cold emails to 14x my freelance copywriting business. Here’s how. (Includes templates.)”
And true to their word, Copyhackers really do provide templates and plenty of examples.
Again, you know I don’t take consultants and coaches at face value.
(In fact, I plead guilty of criticizing them more often than complimenting them.)
But I do love Copyhackers’ content.
It’s useful, backed by data, and provides frameworks we all can follow.
If you didn’t get A’s in high school English, don’t worry. There’s still hope for folks like us!
Finally, if you’re getting ready to launch a new product and you want to write copy for your sales funnel and announcements right, check out Copyhackers’ launch handbook: “Launch Execution Handbook.”
It’s an eBook chock-full of strategic and tactic information to help you launch a product in 21 days.
Well, look... Copyhackers’ bread and butter is copywriting, and I have to admit that it’s really, really important.
Yes, we’ve all got clear ideas of our products, but we have to communicate them effectively to our prospects.
Still, there are quite a few other guides on related topics:
Master of Guest Blogging is a Copyhackers’ course targeted at business owners who want to improve their SEO results and attract more visitors to their websites.
This guest blogging course includes:
The course costs $297, and it’ll teach you everything related to guest blogging:
from reaching out to potential publications, to writing the perfect article.
I’d recommend this course if outreach and guest blogging are going to be a major part of your marketing strategy.
If you plan on offering your own copywriting services, you can sign up for The 5-Day $5K Challenge.
It’s a completely free mini-course. It focuses on tactics that will help you land more clients immediately.
Copyhackers often focuses on helping startups increase their sales.
This time, they’ve rolled out “The All-in-One Content Marketing Playbook for Startups.”
It’s free, like many of their other guides, and shows startups how to get attention, and turn that attention into dollars with their content marketing strategy.
With that in mind, there really is a lot Copyhackers can teach you.
So even if you don’t want to pay for a course, make sure you check out their guides.
I’m sure you’ll learn something new!
And if you don’t want to do it all on your own, you can check out...
You can hire Copyhackers!
First, you can hire the actual Copyhackers copywriting agency, the masters behind the best content about content.
You can pick between hiring them for:
Personally, I’d recommend hiring them for conversion copywriting.
Landing pages and sales pages are your main revenue-drivers, so you want to make sure they’re optimized.
The second, more affordable option is hiring a Copyhackers-certified copywriter.
They’ll match you with copywriters who have the right skills and styles for your project.
You’ll fill out a quick quiz, and get personalized suggestions.
With plenty of free and paid courses, as well as a plethora of step-by-step tutorials, you’ll learn a lot from Copyhackers.
Of course, there’s an alternative:
Copyblogger offers detailed content marketing guides and training.
I recently reviewed Copyblogger in depth, so make sure you check it out if you like the sound of it!
You can expect to learn all the basics of content marketing, the majority of it for free.
Copyblogger premium copywriting courses include:
Their paid courses are more affordable than Copyhackers’ courses, but they’re not as sales-focused so I wouldn’t really recommend them.
You can learn everything Copyblogger can teach you through their free content anyway.
The mechanics of sales funnels go hand in hand with the magic of copywriting.
When you’ve got both sides covered, you’ve got your success formula!
Now, Copyhackers can teach you how to write copy sweeter than watermelons in July.
But you still need a great tool to set up and automate your sales funnel.
Personally, I love systeme.io.
I’m going to be honest: my team and I worked hard to create systeme.io because we were tired of juggling (and paying for) dozens of marketing tools.
Our costs rose to five figures.
At the same time, we didn’t have the energy to actually sell our products. We were so tired of navigating different tools.
It had to change.
And if the change wouldn’t come on its own, we’d create it.
I promise, it’s easy to create and automate your sales funnel with systeme.io!
This is literally all you have to do:
systeme.io's workflow builder
Add on to that extra systeme.io features such as:
We went all out.
And the best part is: I know you’re tired of overpriced tools, so systeme.io starts at $27/month.
Increase your sales right away!
