There’s nothing like starting a new online business... Opportunities are everywhere!
But your most important asset is your website.
Your website is your online storefront; it has to demonstrate the benefits of your products.
Now, regular websites require hours of coding, or hefty sums passed on to web designers.
Website and landing page builders are a much better alternative.
In this post, I’ll review Leadpages pricing in depth.
What does each plan offer, and which one should you choose? I’ll also show you great alternatives.
Let’s take a look!
Leadpages is a landing page builder:
This is really simple, and yet so effective!
Right now, Leadpages offers 4 plans:
When you compare their prices to those of traditional website hosting providers, you can see that Leadpages offers the best landing pages and reliable website hosting for the price of just one.
The Start plan is perfect if you only want a website, without other lead gen additions.
At $15 per month, Leadpages is more affordable than other hosting providers.
For example, BlueHost’s equivalent plan is $20 per month.
With Leadpages’ site builder, you can choose from a variety of templates and pre-built pages.
You can easily customize details such as:
No coding required!
In the Start plan, Leadpages offers 1 website.
As its very name says, Leadpages pays attention to lead generation, as well.
In the Start plan, you’ll be able to collect unlimited leads and receive unlimited traffic, which is a nice touch.
Traditional hosting providers usually have bandwidth caps.
You’ll also receive notifications whenever a new lead signs up!
Finally, (and this is a really neat feature for people who don’t have a lot of experience with digital marketing) you’ll be able to participate in weekly group coaching sessions.
All in all, the Start plan is a lean plan perfect for people who want to test the waters and create their first website.
However, this plan doesn’t include the landing page builder.
The Standard plan ($25/month) offers extra goodies:
Now we’re talking!
Leadpages’ landing page builder helps you create beautiful and effective landing pages.
Again, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel; just choose and customize one of the readily available templates.
However, the feature I love the most is Leadpages’ built-in conversion guidance.
How does it work?
Leadpages’ AI evaluates your landing page and then offers optimization tips.
Like in the example above, it may suggest making your buttons larger, changing your copy, or colors.
You’ll also be able to add different page elements such as:
If you had a traditional site, you’d have to spend hours and a lot of money getting the right plugins to install a single pop-up.
But with Leadpages, everything is integrated within the platform.
You just have to drag and drop.
Leadpages currently offers all kinds of landing page templates; from sales pages to checkout pages.
You can completely customize every page, reduce the friction in the checkout process, and increase your conversion rate!
While Leadpages isn’t an all-in-one marketing tool (like some of our alternatives), it does have plenty of integrations:
All things considered, Standard is a significant upgrade from Start.
In addition to providing you with the tools to build your own website, Leadpages adds conversion elements and landing page builder into the mix.
Additionally, you’ll need extra tools and integrations, so it pays to start with this plan if you mean business.
Leadpages Pro plan is definitely worth the $20 difference (Pro is $48/month).
It lifts some limits (you can create 3 sites), while adding extra features:
In the Pro plan, you’ll get access to Leadpages Checkout (powered by Stripe).
A/B testing (also known as split testing) is the key to conversion rate optimization.
In Leadpages’ Pro plan, you’ll be able to split test away!
There are unlimited A/B tests, and you can test virtually every part of your landing pages.
Now, this is a relatively exotic feature.
Leadpages doesn’t have its own email marketing functionality, so what exactly are trigger links?
In short, they’re links that directly sign up your email subscribers to your Leadpages events and lists.
Instead of sending them to a landing page, when your subscribers click the link, they’ll be sent to your “Thank you” page.
This is a neat feature, but you can do without it. In my opinion, it only works for loyal customers who already trust you.
New customers and leads will want to learn more about your event through a landing page before they sign up.
Did you know that SMS open rates are as high as 98%?
Fortunately, Leadpages’ Pro plan includes 10 opt-in text campaigns:
In addition to collecting leads, you can also send exclusive discounts and promotions via SMS.
All in all, the Pro plan is a really great upgrade!
I love that Leadpages offers text campaigns - it’s a great way to differentiate your business from your competitors.
At $199 per month, the Advanced plan is best suited to business owners who need to create many websites and want to completely automate their workflow with advanced integrations.
You can onboard up to 5 users to help you manage things.
The Advanced plan will help you integrate your Leadpages account and sites with other tools like Salesforce/Pardot, HubSpot, Marketo, and more.
This is important for creating a seamless experience and making sure you completely understand your data.
If you opt for the most expensive plan, a Leadpages specialist will help you get things up and running.
Finally, your limits will look a little different:
The Advanced plan is a typical upgrade plan. It doesn’t show any new features (except for advanced integrations), so it’s a bit underwhelming.
Want to learn more about Leadpages features?
If you still haven’t reached the phase where you’d use Salesforce or HubSpot for customer relationship management, I’d say:
Go with the Pro.
The Pro plan definitely offers all the features you need; from website and landing page builders, to SMS campaigns, A/B testing, and online payments.
Leadpages is primarily used by coaches, consultants, and other business owners who offer services.
It works like a charm if you need a gorgeous website that helps you convert leads into customers!
Leadpages isn’t the best fit for selling multiple products.
While Leadpages does offer sleek landing pages and websites that can be created in a few minutes, it’s not the only tool in the world.
Here’s what Leadpages’ competitors have to offer:
Systeme.io is a lot more than just the best landing page creator and lead generation software!
Systeme.io features include:
Systeme.io is an all-in-one platform, so you can say goodbye to paying for dozens of different tools.
Everything you need is right there within systeme.io!
Not only does systeme.io offer more than Leadpages, but it’s also significantly cheaper.
So if you want to start off your business on the right foot, choose systeme.io!
Instapage is a pretty advanced landing page builder and lead generation software.
Its main goal is integrating with advertising software to provide you with a better way to convert and retain.
Instapage’s features include:
The only other plan is the Enterprise plan, which requires you to get in touch with their sales team.
All in all, Instapage is great for companies with a lot of employees, but it’s not an easy to use solution for budding online business owners.
If you want more than just a landing page builder, check out my reviews of the following alternatives:
In short, all of these tools offer not only landing page and website builders, but also:
Kajabi starts at $119/month for a limited number of products. This makes it perfect for membership sites, and courses.
Kajabi incorporates all the tools you need to market your business
Kartra starts at $99/month for up to 20 products and 100 pages. It’s a great choice if you’re testing the waters of digital marketing.
Kartra offers plenty of features
Finally, ClickFunnels is a relatively expensive option, starting at $97/month without email automation.
If you’d like to send follow-up emails and create automated sequences, you’ll have to upgrade to the $297/mo plan, and it’s still not as powerful as systeme.io.
Finally, if all you’re looking for is reliable and powerful email marketing software, choose ConvertKit.
I’ve recently reviewed ConvertKit, so make sure you take a look at my review if you’re interested in their automations and other features.
We live in the age of all-in-one tools.
And while Leadpages’ landing pages are pretty, the tool doesn’t offer an integrated marketing ecosystem that will save you time and money.
You’ll still need to pay for email marketing tools, sales software, and more.
Choose an all-in-one platform: choose systeme.io.
In addition to offering automations as complex as ConvertKit’s, systeme.io also helps you set up your website, and start the business you’ve always dreamed of.
Regardless of your product type, systeme.io can help you increase your sales.
