If you’re starting an online business today, you’ve got plenty of business models to pick from.
And right now, there’s nothing hotter than membership sites.
Membership sites are becoming increasingly popular.
After all, picking up skills online is the best way to stay safe and improve your knowledge these days.
So whether you are a small business that wants to create a database of customers, or you sell your own knowledge through courses, you can benefit from starting a membership site.
And today, I’m reviewing Memberium.
Let’s see what this tool can do for your business!
Memberium is a WordPress membership plugin that integrates WordPress and Infusionsoft by Keap to give you a seamless membership site.
If you already have an up-and-running WP site, you just need to sign up for Memberium and let it do its magic.
Once set up, Memberium turns your site into a dynamic and amazing membership site with the help of Infusionsoft by Keap.
Memberium isn’t a standalone platform.
It acts like an adapter cable or plug-in that integrates the CRM (Infusionsoft by Keap) with the Content Management System (WordPress).
It uses the Infusionsoft API and its distinct campaign builders to help you create a powerful membership site.
The drag & drop membership setup also makes it really easy to set things up without having to pay for a web designer or become a code expert overnight.
Now that I have given you an idea of what exactly Memberium is, let’s dive into its features and figure out what exactly you’ll be paying for if you sign up for Memberium.
Before we head to the ‘features’ section, we have one question to answer - who is the target audience?
Memberium is for anyone who wants to run a membership site with the full functionality of a customer relationship management software.
This way, you’ll be able to adapt your content (courses and emails) for different audiences, and personalize at scale with automation.
It works especially well for small business owners who are just starting out and having trouble establishing footing.
In fact, Memberium reviews often praise its ease of use.
For you, Memberium is the guide book that helps you navigate the murky waters of setting up a membership site and eventually finding the people who will take your courses.
Memberium is also a perfect fit for established websites and business owners.
If you have sound knowledge of how all this works, Memberium can help you gain competitive edge with its automated features.
With membership sites, there are two possible outcomes for your customers: they either pay the membership fees right away, or they join free for a virtual course first and sign up to receive your offers.
Memberium simplifies this entire process.
You’ll be able to onboard customers easily through the Infusionsoft Keap and WordPress integration.
Not to mention that it’s all automated,so you won’t have to perform numerous routine tasks.
I’ve talked about this already, but the integration is definitely the most important Memberium feature.
You’ll be able to set up your membership site in no time thanks to the combination of these two systems.
You will also be able to use some of the most advanced features of Infusionsoft in WordPress such as:
The different subscription packages, namely Pro and Advanced, allow you to license unlimited domains.
This gives you the freedom to create as many paid or free membership levels as you want to create.
Really, with Memberium you can experiment with as many methods as you want to attract customers.
And since it’s a pretty tight integration, you’ll also be able to use Keap’s customer profiles.
You’ll become your leads’ best friend in no time!
Memberium comes with 24 different plug & play templates for membership sites.
So no, you don’t have to code anything from scratch.
Instead, simply choose the right template, customize it to fit your branding, upload your courses, and you’ll be good to go!
This is a pretty handy feature.
Not to mention that it cuts costs; you won’t have to pay a web designer to set up your membership site.
Some of the other things you’ll be able to do with your Memberium membership site include:
It’s pretty much the full package!
One of the best things about Memberium is that, despite giving you a strong backbone to work upon, you get to fully automate your membership website.
You can manage and control the content on your WordPress site with the help of Infusionsoft’s features.
Create an almost complete sales funnel with just one tool
Normally, you’d have to struggle with dozens of integration tools like Zapier to create your membership marketing machine.
Fortunately, Memberium turns that heap of work into a task you can quickly tick off your list.
You can use numerous Infusionsoft and Memberium shortcodes to integrate their features into your WordPress site.
What does that mean, though?
Basically, you can connect the data you’ve got on Infusionsoft with data you’ve got on WordPress, seamlessly integrating everything under one banner.
Some of the shortcodes that you can use are:
When you sign up for a package and start building your membership site, you’ll get detailed instructions on how to use Memberium, as well as how to build a strong community.
It’s complete with video tutorials and descriptions of each feature.
There is detailed and extensive documentation about everything on Memberium. You’ll know exactly what you’re signing up for, and how to implement best practices without hassle.
Personally, I find proper onboarding to be one of the most important things for tools like Memberium.
It’s why the knowledge base at systeme.io, the all-in-one marketing platform my team and I built, is chock-full of tutorials.
When it comes to support, you won’t be talking to bots, but actual humans willing to help you.
Apart from the initial help in setting up your membership community, the help center will answer all your questions, seven days a week.
Forget about tracking your traffic with Excel sheets.
Memberium easily integrates with Google Analytics, allowing you to understand your performance across different platforms at a glance.
All of your content and campaigns can be easily shared on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other networking sites thanks to Memberium’s social media integration.
You can also share content via Buffer and other scheduling apps.
Memberium also offers a myriad of popular integrations:
If you need a powerful email marketing tool, ActiveCampaign is definitely one of the best.
Fortunately, Memberium functions similarly with ActiveCampaign as it does with Infusionsoft.
If you’ve got a WP site, you can integrate it with the email marketing tool to nurture your leads on the go.
Again, Memberium for ActiveCampaign is similar to the Infusionsoft version:
Memberium offers 3 pricing plans for their Infusionsoft plugin:
The basic plan of Memberium is meant for small business owners who are just venturing into the world of building a membership site.
Priced at $47 per month, you get license for use on 1 domain name, with unlimited installs.
Other features of this plan include:
The Pro Package is $87 per month and covers all the features you get in the Standard plan.
What sets it apart from the standard package is that you get a license for unlimited domains (provided they are listed on one Infusionsoft app).
You also get the option of creating umbrella accounts.
This gives you the leeway to start a membership site for all your sub-domains.
Along with the benefits of the Pro package, Advanced gives you an added feature of connecting up to 3 Infusionsoft accounts.
This package is perfect for big companiesthat have multiple accounts and domains under one brand.
If you want to get Memberium for ActiveCampaign, you’ll pay less.
The first plan is $7/mo, which makes it a great option for testing this plugin.
Unfortunately, you’ll only be able to have up to 50 members, but you’re still getting unlimited membership levels and free installation.
You can onboard unlimited number of members by upgrading to the $37/mo plan, and if you want to use Memberium on unlimited domains, you’ll get the option with the $57/mo plan.
The final plan gives you the option of connecting Memberium to 3 ActiveCampaign apps, which is the only real difference. Again, this one’s for big companies.
I really like Memberium, but I don’t know how useful it is for new online business owners who just want to get down to business.
While the plugin makes it much easier to integrate different tools within your stack, WordPress is still not the best platformto host your membership site on.
Additionally, you’ll have to jump through a few hoopsto successfully set everything up.
All in all, go with Memberium if you’re sold on hosting your membership site on WordPress.
But if you’re not, there’s a much better alternative.
Systeme.io is what Memberium wants to be: an all-in-one marketing platform for online businesses:
You can also dropship products and create your own blog for that sweet, sweet SEO.
Systeme.io replaces all three tools: Memberium, ActiveCampaign, and Infusionsoft.
The best part? You can get systeme.io for as little as $27 per month!
