Launch Your Online Business in Just 7 Days
As we grow older, a natural question that pops up is how and where we’re going to invest our money.
In a day and age where people are making money creating YouTube videos, don’t you wish you could ditch the index funds and ETFs and do that instead?
But how do you grow your bank balance by achieving millions and millions of views on YouTube?
Or take real estate, for example. Ever wondered why just a small sampling of real estate agents manage to make it bigger and better than the rest? Well, Graham Stephan seems to have the answer to both these questions.
But, who is Graham Stephan? How and why do so many people know his name and value his opinions?
Let’s find out.
Graham Stephan is a 29-year-old man from Los Angeles, California, who is well-known for his YouTube channel where he talks about investments, financial independence, real estate, and so on.
He started out as a real estate agent quite early on in his life. He’s also a car fanatic who can often be found on car meets when he’s not driving somewhere along the Malibu Canyons.
Graham received his real estate license a few months post his 18th birthday.
In 2008, he started working as a full-time real estate agent and has since sold over $125,000,000 of residential real estate.
He has several celebrities accenting his list of clients, including Orlando Bloom, Chloe Moretz, Suki Waterhouse, LaVar Arrington, Wale, and Casper Inc.
He currently owns five rental properties in Los Angeles and San Bernardino County and resides in his duplex in Los Angeles.
Graham has two YouTube channels.
While the channel ‘Graham Stephan’ has 1.16M subscribers, the other channel ‘The Graham Stephan Show’ has 214K, as of November 2019.
Graham got his first job at the age of 13 at a marine aquarium wholesaler. He was given the responsibility of taking a picture of the inventory and putting it up on the website, post photoshopping it.
He made $35 an hour from that, roughly coming up to $100 or more per day — a lot of money for a young teenager.
After a brief period as a drummer in a rock band, Graham realized he wanted to be in the real estate business.
His real estate career had a beginning that was both unique and funny. He noticed that the photography on lease listings wasn’t up to the mark.
So, he offered to take photographs of listings that belonged to different agents, photoshop them, and then put up those ads on Craigslist.
His compensation was the commission he earned by representing the tenants who responded to the ads.
While the beginning of his real estate journey may have been unconventional, the next nine years were stellar for his career.
By the time he turned 27, Graham had sold over $120 million worth of real estate. Although his success is a known story these days, his overnight success, fame, and wealth were over a decade in the making.
It was in December 2016 when Graham started his YouTube channel, mainly because he loved talking about topics in the world of finance.
Going along, he realized that he can actually make money through YouTube videos. However, it was a slow beginning.
He’d spent about 40 to 50 hours every week making videos, and the revenue generated in 2017 was a mere $26,000.
But since he liked making them so much, Graham strived through it.
“The worst thing you can do if you want to make money on YouTube is to enter it with the idea that you want to make money. The money is a byproduct of doing something I really enjoy doing,” he confessed.
The videos slowly went from earning pennies to dollars. He had close to 80 videos after a year on YouTube, making roughly about $200 per day.
True success came in 2018. That’s the year Graham made a video based on the J.P. Morgan Reserve Credit Card, which went on to receive more than 1.2 million views.
Graham claims that this video helped him earn $7,293.02. The viral success of the video was unprecedented, according to Graham.
“It’s sometimes so random which videos YouTube decides to push, because — wow — I did not expect that video to get so many views.”, he says.
After the tremendous success of this particular video, adding his ad revenue, program sales, speaking engagements, Amazon affiliates, and sponsorships, his total revenue was revealed to be a whopping $253,318.02.
Graham Stephan's YouTube channel
Graham says that your success on YouTube not only depends on the topic you choose but on your consistency as well.
His advice to increase viewership and revenue is to keep your loyal viewers happy as well as bring in new followers by making videos almost daily.
“If you have a video with 1 million views, chances are between 10% and 20% of those viewers will click through to your other videos.”, he says.
The amount a YouTube channel can make depends on the advertising rate, which varies from one channel to another.
The factors to consider in this regard are what the channel is about, the topic and length of the video, the duration, how many ads it contains, and the advertisers who are ready to invest in your video.
According to Graham, getting the viewers to ‘like’ your video and ‘subscribe’ to your channel can be tough initially, which is why you have to keep producing content for them to know that you’re serious about what you do.
This is the reason he tries to upload at least three videos every week.
Graham discusses the YouTube “Circle of Life”, which is when viewers watch a particular video, YouTube recommends similar kinds of videos to them.
The quality of your video becomes more important in this scenario because if the people don’t like what you show them, they can easily move on to similar content.
He also confesses that at times he himself wasn’t aware of what people were liking about his content.
Graham states that during the month his channel received 10 million views, he didn’t even know where 60% of those views were coming from.
This proves that you have to keep trying until your subscribers trust you enough to churn out good content regardless of the topic.
Of the two courses Graham Stephan has created, one of them is The YouTube Creator Academy course. It costs $397 and explains in detail how Graham went from 0 to 370,000 subscribers in a span of two years.
Having created a YouTube channel from scratch with barely any background in video-making, he claims to have made $50,000 per month purely from YouTube.
The course provides step-by-step strategies that Graham employed to grow his YouTube career bit by bit.
It took Graham about 3 months to piece this course together, and the training contains over 8 hours of content.
He talks about how he made it big in the world of YouTube while also managing his full-time job.
These are techniques he imbibed through experimentation, trial and error, and also by following the hacks and strategies of other successful YouTubers.
Regardless of whether you’re someone who has been around on YouTube for quite a while, or is just starting out, this course will prove useful for pretty much everyone.
It can be divided into quite a few segments. They’re as follows:
The course makes it pretty clear that merely uploading videos is not enough. You have to learn some editing and be consistent with your videos.
Create a style of your own that people can associate with you as a brand, even if you outsource the work of making the videos.
Here are some more advantageous details about the course:
Graham Stephan’s journey in the real estate business has been a prodigal story for the ages. He started out not having any connections, treating each deal like his last, like it was one his life depended on.
Today, he makes millions from these deals.
Most successful people keep their success tips a secret, but Graham is different. He chose to share his tips and techniques with the world. That’s when the Real Estate Agent Academy Coaching Course was born.
Costing $497, one of the best things about the course that viewers will notice pretty instantly is the fact that the videos delve into the subject right away.
They don’t beat about the bush, and you come out of it actually having learned something.
Graham became a millionaire by the time he was 26, and if you’re someone who aspires to make it big as a real estate agent, then this course is for you. The course has eight parts, which equates to 8 hours of content.

Graham Stephan’s journey may not technically be a classic “rags to riches” story, but it’s definitely a motivating one.
Anyone hoping to start a business of his/her own or make money through the web can draw a lot of education, insights, and inspiration from him.
Much of Graham's success came from his lead generation — he constantly preaches marketing and finding better cutting-edge techniques to sell through sales and marketing channels.

One thing to remember from both of Graham’s courses is the fact that everything takes time and patience.
You can neither expect to be an online hit overnight nor sell a big property on your first try.
You have to keep hustling and attempting to create a name and reputation for yourself — once you do that, success will slowly come knocking on your doorstep.
