Let’s face it-- it’s rough out there for an entrepreneur.
The competition is arguably more intense than it was a decade ago.
And the growing number of startups and entrepreneurs in any one niche spells danger for other up-and-comers-- larger numbers mean more competition, and more competition means way more difficulty getting established.
This is where Russel Brunson and the Clickfunnels platform come in to make things a little bit easier for newcomers to dip their toes into the market.
Clickfunnels is essentially a sales funnel in itself, and the software helps entrepreneurs build ads, write content, and design whole websites and blogs without any need for coding.
This makes getting into marketing much easier, which puts newbies at an advantage.
Clickfunnels has its own use cases and is heralded by many businesses, startups, and individuals.
What we’re going to talk about today is Funnelflix, a relatively new platform available with a Clickfunnels platinum membership.
So what is Funnelflix? Does it actually help entrepreneurs? We’ll be covering all of this and more in our guide to the pros and cons of Funnelflix.
Let’s start by breaking down exactly what Funnelflix is.
Funnelflix website's home page
Funnelflix is a video streaming platform that is tentatively referred to as “a Netflix for Funnel Hackers.”
The platform itself does contain a significant volume of videos, mostly how-to guides, that were once lead magnets and sold as content.
Funnelflix can be used by entrepreneurs, marketers, and pretty much anyone who wants to improve themselves and their business with seminar access as training.
Funnelflix was announced on September 23rd, 2019, by Russell Brunson of Clickfunnels. Funnelflix is part of the Clickfunnels platinum upgrade.
This is the only way to access and take advantage of Funnelflix.
Currently, Clickfunnels’ platinum upgrade is available for $297 per month and comes with other features in addition to Funnelflix access.
The platform does indeed look very similar to Netflix, complete with video thumbnails and various “genres” to choose from.
Once inside, you’ll be able to access a number of different types of content, specifically courses for business-related ventures and training modules for sales funnels, content marketing, traffic, copywriting, etc.
Currently, there is a wide range of video content on the site. A few well-known titles include:
It’s worth noting that some of these courses, including Money Mindset and 30 Day Challenge Content, can actually be accessed with a standard Clickfunnel membership.
However, most of Funnelflix’s content is hidden behind that platinum membership paywall.
Russell and the Clickfunnels team plan to add many more courses to the platform as soon as possible.
The actual technical value of Funnelflix is very impressive.
To purchase all of the videos available on the platform individually, you could easily rack up over $20,000 in content.
That alone makes that somewhat intense $297 per month fee seem a little less extreme.
However, it is very important to consider a few key questions before investing in this platform:
If you can find the use case for Funnelflix that makes sense to you, the platform could be worthwhile.
However, if Funnelflix seems like a casual interest and less of a necessity for improving your ability to run a business, there are alternatives that are significantly cheaper.
Let’s break down the pros and cons of Funnelflix to better help you make an informed decision.
The biggest boon of Funnelflix is the sheer volume of videos and the level of effort that has been invested in the creation of each and every individual course video is astounding.
This isn’t a platform that was just slapped together-- thought and effort went into it.
Another pro that could sway those on the fence is the value of the platform.
When you consider how expensive each of these video courses are or were, $297 per month for Funnelflix access does not seem so intimidating.
In fact, it could be seen as a major money-saver and definitely worth the cost.
Even if a handful of these videos can help you take your marketing to a whole other level, it could be worth the cost.
The subject matter of the video content is also excellent. Funnelflix doesn’t feature content that is solely about improving sales and business funnels.
Just about every nook and cranny of your business is explored by videos in this vast library.
Need help learning how to copywrite effectively? There’s a video for that.
Not sure how to increase traffic in a way that makes sense? There’s a course for that.
Need to learn about how to start outsourcing? You guessed it-- there’s something on Funnelflix that can help.
It’s also pretty nice that you can simply sign up for the 14-day trial of Clickfunnels to test out Funnelflix yourself-- you’re not going in blind and giving your money up before even getting to demo the platform.
Two weeks is also a generous amount of time to explore Clickfunnels and thus, Funnelflix.
The design of the platform is also fantastic. It really is not too dissimilar from Netflix, though we would go as far as to say it is much easier to search for specific content on Funnelflix than on Netflix.
It’s all very user-friendly and makes for a great user experience.
The value you get by purchasing a platinum membership plan is also quite handy.
You’ll get Funnelflix, but you’ll also get a ton of other very useful features that could possibly improve your business and marketing.
With a Clickfunnels platinum plan, you will recieve the following:
We’re reviewing Funnelflix specifically here, but you can’t deny the bells and whistles you get with a Clickfunnels platinum plan aren’t also really cool.
While the price was listed as a pro, it can also be considered a con.
This is especially so for newbies who may not have the budget to warrant $297 per month on self-help videos.
That does, obviously, include the Clickfunnels platinum account with its own software and useful features-- however, there are enough free or low-cost resources out there that are just as effective.
It certainly isn’t necessary to spend $297 per month on content-building software and Netflix-style videos. We’ll cover some alternatives later on in this guide.
While Funnelflix is boasted as being “built with the new and old entrepreneur in mind,” a significant amount of the content available of Funnelflix will be old news to seasoned entrepreneurs.
This isn’t a big deal for entrepreneurs that are just starting out and don’t have the tools to learn-- in this case, Funnelflix can be an extremely helpful resource.
However, seasoned business people who want to revamp their business or learn some new tricks of the trade may not find much value in Funnelflix.
Funnelflix could also be seen as counter-intuitive in at least one respect.
Video marketing courses are great, but nothing compares to going out, testing the strategies you have, networking with other marketers, and growing and learning through the process.
While one can certainly do this after watching some of the course videos on Funnelflix, it’s important to not get sucked into conceptual learning in this industry without actually getting your hands dirty and learning the hard way.
This “con” could be seen as less of a con and more of a personal opinion, but it’s worth noting anyway.
Funnelflix is, we believe, worth it. But it’s important to differentiate if you have an actual necessary use case for the platform.
On one hand, you get dozens of premium courses to access for free when you sign up for a Clickfunnels platinum account, and you can even access some of these courses with a standard account.
These courses are worth thousands of dollars and many of them are tried and true courses for improving one’s marketing ability.
It goes beyond just marketing as well-- the courses Funnelflix boasts can improve how you copywrite, pull in traffic, and operate as an entrepeneur.
On the other hand, you’re essentially paying $297 per month for the Netflix of self-help guides with a business and marketing context.
There aren’t a whole lot of use cases that warrant that price tag, even if the content you’ll be accessing is worth tens of thousands of dollars.
Our recommendation is to look at what courses Funnelflix have that matches with your needs, look up reviews for those courses by reputable sources, and invest in Funnelflix if those reviews reflect a product that can create real change in your marketing.
Since Funnelflix is part of Clickfunnels, we’ll look at some alternatives to ClickFunnels that have useful features that are similar to Funnelflix.
On a basic level without all the bells and whistles, Clickfunnels is simply software that makes it easy to design and create different pages (sales, landing, squeeze, etc.) for your website and also lets you manage your business’s sales funnel.
Systeme.io is one of the best alternatives to Clickfunnels because it is so much more than a design platform.
Systeme.io is an all-in-one marketing software that entrepreneurs can use for a variety of tasks, from building website pages to developing online courses.
Even Marty Englander of dZignPak sees the ever-growing value of the platform as a singular, standalone product for just about any entrepreneur or business in any niche:
“I believe systeme.io will be a game-changer in the all in one marketing platform industry and will most likely become Clickfunnels’ biggest competition, overtaking Builerall and Leadpages.” - Marty Englander
Some other incredible features of systeme.io include:
If you’d like to try systeme.io out for yourself, you can start a free trial today with no credit card requirements.
You can’t really imagine the overall value of this platform without giving it a try!
While systeme.io does not have any video-based content that is similar to Funnelflix, there are some alternatives to Funnelflix out there that do not require a Clickfunnels subscription. These include:
Really, YouTube is a great resource for finding relevant how-to guides and seminars for free that relate to sales funnels, copywriting, product development, business strategy, and personal development.
While Funnelflix has quite a lot of useful content, it’s hard to see the value of paying for such a platform when there are so many free (and very useful) videos out there already.
